Stunning...show stopper pair of beauties from my *Designer Artistic Collection*. The pair was reupholstered using high end crocodile texture velvet. The cushion was done in velvet. The cushions are hard/firm but if you decide i can always change them and make them more full. However, i don't have the same fabric but i can look for something similar. No extra cost! The chairs are heavy and ready for everyday use. Pictures do it no justice.

I love these chairs because you can start to see the patina in them. If you ask what's patina? That is one of the most difficult things to describe, and yet it is that extra ingredient which transforms the surface of a piece of furniture from the ordinary to the exceptional. Put simply, patina is the surface formed by a combination of the ageing processes caused by rubbing, dusting and waxing, coupled with oxidization of the wood and the action of the sun’s rays, producing a bronze-like lustre, or “skin. Finally, the dirt and dust of years which clings to corners plays its part by highlighting the paler, mellow surfaces; even the natural grease from fingertips which darkens areas around handles is an important factor. Patina cannot be reproduced by the makers of fakes, and its qualities are an intrinsic part of the value of an antique.

In overall good condition. Antique and vintage items by their very nature show normal wear to finish and miscellaneous scratches, nicks, and dings due to age and use. As we define 'good condition' relative to the stated age of the piece, we would expect to see 'character marks' consistent with that age and could include nicks or dings on a piece of furniture, normal separation at joints in wood due to expansion and contraction over time, minor damage to veneer has been stabilized, most locks functioning, most drawers and doors open or slide easily, some original trim may be missing or has been replaced with genuine period correct substitutes or new reproductions, and there may be one or more splits in the wood due to age and use. If there has been a break in the marble, it has been repaired and the repair may be visible. There may be minor restoration that is visible. Chairs considered 'good condition' may have professional structural repairs but are considered to be structurally sound. These types of repairs may be visible upon close inspection. Upholstered items may show wear consistent with age and use and may need to be reupholstered.
